Nollywood Actor Tafa Oloyede Is Dead

February 02, (THEWILL) – Veteran Nollywood actor, John Adewumi better known by the screen name ‘Baba Tafa Oloyede’, has been reported dead.

The General Secretary of Theater Arts and Motion Picture Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Osun State, Mr Ademola Oyedokun, confirmed the death of the veteran actor to a national news media.

According to available reports, the actor was said to have died in his residence at Arowomole, Kajola area, Osogbo.

The cause of death was however not revealed.

Baba Tafa started his career in 1974 under the tutelage of the late Oyin Adejobi.

He has since been featured in numerous movies which include ‘Jaiyesimi’, ‘Ayanmo’, ‘Ekuro Oloja’, ‘Orogun’, ‘Akanji Oniposi’ which made him popular.

The Nollywood industry will definitely miss his art and his viewers will equally miss his face on the screen.
