November 21, (THEWILL) – The Kwande/Ushongo Federal House of Representatives candidate on the platform of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Professor Kohol Iornem, has constructed a borehole for Tsem Mbakuha community in Ushongu Local Government Area of Benue State.
While inaugurating the project, the NNPP Chieftain explained that the purpose of the facility was to safeguard the people against water born diseases and the risk associated with moving too far in search of water from streams.
The 2023 House of Representatives hopeful also donated hospital beds, pillows, drugs, mosquito nets and curtains to the Primary Healthcare Center at Tomatar, in Mbaivende, Ushongu Local Government Area, which his NGO has renovated.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Healthcare Center, the Matron, Mrs Tabitha Akor, thanked Professor Iornem for the kind gesture, which is the first of its kind.
She assured him that the drugs will be used to treat patients in the community, and prayed that God replenishes him in hundred folds.
Members of the community who spoke at the occasion commended Professor Iornem for being faithful to his promises.
