May 04, (THEWILL) – Chiamaka Nnadozie of the Super Falcons, has been named to the shortlist for the best goalkeeper award in the French Division 1 Féminine.

With FC Paris, Nnadozie has had a fantastic season. In 19 games for the Parisians, the 21-year-old has eight clean sheets. With 18 goals conceded in 19 games, Paris has the third strongest defence in the French top flight.

Her efforts have propelled Paris to third place in the table, and so to their first Champions League berth since their promotion to Division 1 six years ago.

The former Rivers Angels star’s prowess was recognised when she was named to the shortlist for the top goalkeeper for the upcoming 2021/2022 season.

For the award, Nnadozie is up against Mylène Chavas of Bordeaux, Christiane Endler of Lyon, Cosette Morche of GPSO 92 Issy and Barbora Votikova of PSG. There are three games left in the season, and Nnadozie would like to see her team finish strong, as they are now six points behind second-placed PSG.
