September 16, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian equities market extended its positive run on Wednesday, with the benchmark All-Share Index (ASI) and market capitalisation closing higher amid improved market breadth.

The market capitalisation opened at ₦158.399 trillion and closed at ₦158.714 trillion, representing a gain of ₦315 billion. Similarly, the ASI rose by 487.28 points, or 0.20 percent, from 244,304.51 at the opening to 244,791.79 at the close.

Trading sentiment was positive, with 34 equities recording price gains against 26 decliners, indicating stronger buying interest across the market.
