October 2, (THEWILL) – The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Development (South East), Mrs. Chioma Nweze, has assured Nigerians of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to tackling the daunting challenges facing the country.

Nweze, who made this known in a statement through a press statement in Abakaliki to mark Nigeria’s 63rd Independence anniversary and 27 years of Ebonyi State’s creation, urged the political leaders of the South East region, including the leadership of Ohaneze Ndigbo, to be united.

She stated that the 63rd anniversary of Nigeria and Ebonyi State @27 marked “the end of the prolonged colonial era and the beginning of a new nation, governed by the will and passionate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

Nweze applauded the five Governors of the South East region and all the Ministers of the Igbo extraction, especially the Works Minister, David Umahi, for working with the administration of President Tinubu to develop the region.

“I wish to convey my profound felicitations to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, for his steadfastness and courage in the face of daunting challenges in our developmental journey, and for proving himself the man with the right frame of equipment to retool Nigeria,” she stated.

Nweze urged Nigerians to keep hope alive and support the government in order to ensure that their needs are provided. “We must remember to keep hope alive by dedication to service, courage to uplift the nation at all times and the supreme sacrifices for our common prosperity,” Nwaeze appealed.

She further called on the youths and stakeholders of the South East region to be patient with President Tinubu’s administration. “Noteworthy is the resilient spirit and resolute nature of Nigerians, both young and old, in the face of biting socioeconomic challenges.

“I am confident that my new office as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Development (South East) has afforded me a rare opportunity to initiate progressive, innovative and problem-solving policies, programmes and projects, particularly those that will uplift the poor and vulnerable, to better the lot of South East,” she said.
