The win secured the top spot in Group E for Niger and advanced them to their second ever quarter-final in the tournament, which is exclusively for home-based players. The Menas, in their fourth CHAN tournament appearance, reached the quarter-final for the first time in 2018.
They will now face the Black Galaxies of Ghana in the quarter-final on Saturday at the Miloud Hadefi stadium in Oran. This is a huge achievement for the Nigerien team and they will be looking to continue their winning streak against Ghana.
