August 23, (THEWILL) – American actress, Nia Long, has requested for legal and physical custody of her son, Kez, whom she had with Ime Udoka.
According to court documents, Long alleged that Udoka has failed to provide support for their son in the wake of their breakup.
She also doesn’t want her ex-fiancé to be granted reasonable visitation time, which she feels is at their child’s best interest.
Long filed the paperwork on August 14th in Los Angeles County Superior Court, nearly one year after news of Udoka’s affair with a Boston Celtics staffer became public.
The duo decided to end their relationship three months after the affair became public. They had dated for 13 years as at that time.
After their breakup, Long admitted that Kez was having a really tough time coping with the situation.
“My only focus right now is my youngest son because he is having a really tough time.
“I’m sure I have some things that I’m suppressing, but I have to do that to take care of him first. That’s the giving. It’s natural”, she stated at that time.
