March 30, (THEWILL) — The Nigerian equities market closed lower on Monday as sell-offs in several stocks weighed on the broader market.

At the close of trading, market capitalisation declined from ₦128.969 trillion at the opening of the session to ₦128.693 trillion. The All-Share Index (ASI) also dropped from 200,913.06 points to 200,484.43 points.

Market breadth closed negative with 27 gainers and 34 losers, reflecting cautious investor sentiment.

Top Gainers

AUSTINLAZ gained 9.98 percent, (rising from ₦4.01 to ₦4.41).

ZICHIS advanced 9.93 percent, (moving from ₦13.79 to ₦15.16).

TRANSEXPR appreciated 9.65 percent, (climbing from ₦2.59 to ₦2.84).

TIP rose 9.60 percent, (increasing from ₦19.80 to ₦21.70).

LEARNAFRCA gained 9.41 percent, (advancing from ₦8.50 to ₦9.30).

Top Losers

NSLTECH declined 10.00 percent, (falling from ₦1.30 to ₦1.17).

MAYBAKER dropped 9.42 percent, (decreasing from ₦41.95 to ₦38.00).
