January 01, (THEWILL) – A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Oyo State, Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, has felicitated with the people of Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency of Oyo state and Nigerians as a whole, as they enter the New Year.

Abidikugu, in a New Year message, urged Nigerians to use the occasion of the New Year to ensure peaceful co-existence and rededicate their life to peace and good neighbourliness, saying it is in an atmosphere of peace that everyone can achieve his or her heart desires.

Abidikugu, who was a House of Representatives Aspirant for Ibadan South East/North East Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections, also called on the citizens of the state and Nigerians to rededicate themselves to the goodness of the country and to always pray for the success of people in leadership in the country.

He said they should live a life of tolerance, patience, brotherly kindness, care for the needy and love for one another, among other virtues.

Abidikugu, who is a Nigerian-United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant, said, “I congratulate my brothers and sisters on this New Year celebration. As we celebrate our successful entry into the New Year, I enjoin all to imbibe the spirit of true love and sacrifice for one another.

“The New Year presents us an opportunity once more to love, share and forgive. I urge all Nigerians to utilise this period to pray for unity, peace and prosperity in the nation.

“Humility, selflessness, love and simplicity should be our guiding principles.

“We must also rededicate ourselves to the true virtues of faith in God, love for one another, honesty and peaceful co-existence. It is time to make these virtues more evident and practical in our daily lives.

“I urge all of us to spread love to our neighbours and remember the underprivileged as we celebrate the New Year. Let us all remember that it is a time to spread love to each other and pray for people at the helm of affairs at the Local Governments, States and at the Federal.

“This season is another opportunity to increase our acts of kindness and touch the less privileged in our society”, the statement read.
