September 16, (THEWILL) – British High Commissioner Designate to Nigeria, Pete Vowles, has arrived in Abuja to take up his new role, succeeding Dr Richard Montgomery CMG.
Vowles says his immediate priority is to listen, learn and travel across Nigeria as he seeks to understand the country, its people and culture.
The new envoy brings extensive diplomatic and development experience, having most recently served as British Ambassador to Zimbabwe and previously as Ambassador to Myanmar.
