February 03, (THEWILL) – Shaffer Chimere Smith, aka Ne-Yo and Crystal Renay, have ended their divorce proceedings and are now officially back in the singles club.
According to TMZ, the legal documents show that the former couple have reached an agreement to settle things out, with the two agreeing to have joint custody and more.
As part of their joint custody agreement, neither party will have new romantic partners around their minor children unless they get married or engaged to that partner.
In addition to that, Ne-yo will pay Crystal $12,000 a month in child support for the 3 kids they have together. He’s also expected to cover the kids’ school expenses. Ne-Yo will also have to give Renay over $5,000/month in alimony for the next 3 years.
Their marriage lasted for six years before Renay accused Ne-Yo of fathering a child out of wedlock and they decided to go their separate ways.
