January 31, (THEWILL) – Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Tanguy Ndombele, has rejoined Lyon on loan until the end of the season.
Ndombele joined the English Premier League side from the Ligue 1 outfit in 2019, but his stint in north London has been hampered by concerns with form and fitness.
The final appearance of the 25-year-old for the club this season came in the FA Cup triumph over Morecambe in January, when he was booed off after a dismal effort against the League One side.
Lyon has now confirmed the agreement, disclosing that they paid €1.42 million for the initial loan and have the option to purchase the player at the end of the remainder of the season.
According to information available, Tottenham’s buy option for Ndombele is €65 million, which would help them recoup the money they paid on him two and a half years ago.
