Briefing newsmen on the commencement of the conference in Kano, the National Youths Secretary of the group, Olasupo Tajudeen, said the conference is “a powerful platform for dialogue, learning and action that will shape the future of our youth and our nation.

“The theme for this year’s conference, ‘Poverty, Wealth, and Social Responsibility: Empowering Youths for Change,’ is both timely and critical. Poverty continues to be one of the most pressing challenges in our society, and addressing it requires a multifaceted approach.

“This conference aims to empower our youth by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and mindset necessary to tackle poverty, create wealth and uphold social responsibility.

“As NASFAT Youth, we recognise that we are not just beneficiaries of this discussion – we are active participants and agents of change. Our role in driving social transformation cannot be overstated.

“We are committed to leading initiatives that uplift not only ourselves but also our communities, fostering an environment where everyone can thrive.

“One of the key initiatives we are proud to introduce at this conference is the “Youth Up” project, which is directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goals 6 and 13-Clean Water and Sanitation, and Climate Action.”

He also said that the conference would feature a series of workshops that are both practical and forward-thinking.

“These workshops will cover essential skills such as CV writing, crafting effective cover letters, and mastering interview techniques. We will also explore how to leverage freelancing platforms like Upwork, and how to use cutting-edge tools like ChatGPT to develop and sell e-books on platforms such as Amazon KDP and Selar.com,” the Secretary added.
