SAN FRANCISCO, September 09, (THEWILL) – Arc. Stanley Buba, Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Development Control has been suspended by the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
Speaker of the House, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi announced Buba’s suspension on Wednesday on the floor of the Assembly after the governor’s aide appeared before it to answer questions bordering on the activities of the state Urban Development Board (NUDB).
The speaker said that the decision to suspend Buba was “based on the resolution of the House that the SSA should step aside to enable the committee carry out its duties effectively without interference.”
The Assembly however, constituted a ‘Six-Man Investigative Committee’ to probe the activities of the SSA.
Members of the Committee are Hon David Maiyaki (PDP- Karu/Gitata)-Chairman, Hon Mohammed Okpoku ( APC- Udege/Loko)Deputy Chairman,Hon Suleiman Yakubu Azara (APC-Awe South), Hon Daniel Ogazi (APC-Kokona East).
Others include Hon Abdullahi Angibi (APC Lafia Central) and Hon Mohammed Bello Isa (APC- Uke/Karshi)as members while the Secretary of the Committee is the Deputy Clerk to the House, Ibrahim Musa.
The Committee has three months to submit its findings to the House.
