July 03, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actress in the Yoruba movie genre, Bimpe Akintunde, has revealed one of the reasons she got married to her beau, Yousuph Ganiyu.
Akintunde had her Nikai ceremony with her Minnesota based husband, Ganiyu last week.
The mother of one took to Instagram to mark her daughter’s birthday and penned an emotional note on how her daughter motivated her to get married.
According to her, her daughter, Amida, will pester her for a sibling to play with. She would ask her to get married and stop sleeping alone in the house.
The little girl will nag and complain at every given opportunity of not having a father. She would also nag about the things her father would have done for her if she had one.
Her nagging usually move the actress to tears and she has since been praying for a good man to fill the void in her life and that if her daughter’s.
She thanked God that her daughter now has a father figure and she is also grateful for the bond the two have formed.
“Dear Daughter, I want to specifically congratulate you as Almighty choose to answer your request and prayers.
“Do you know that princess Amida knew I didnt have a husband? Precisely when she was 5 years old, she said and I quote ‘Only you will be sleeping on this bed everyday!! You don’t have a husband!! Go and marry’.
“I cried bitterly that day. On the same day, she told my sister what her father would have done assuming she has one.
“I was devastated. I cried, complained, and lamented that after all, I am trying my best for her but as she continues growing, she kept asking for siblings”.
