BEVERLY HILLS, August 15, (THEWILL) – Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, will join Sky Bet Championship club, Stoke City on Monday.
The former Chelsea midfielder, according to reports, will have his medical next week and thereafter sign a one-year-deal with the club.
THEWILL recalls that the player is a free agent after leaving Turkish side,
Trabzonspor in March, amid concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.
Mikel has had talks with the Potters coach, Michael O’Neil and he is ready to help the side gain promotion to the Premier League next season.
