June 27, (THEWILL) – Michael Jackson estate has accused a man, who was engaged to one of the singer’s siblings of using the chaos surrounding the pop singer’s death in 2009, to rob from his deathbed.
He stole pajamas and other valuables such as computers, video camera, briefcase with personal and business papers, clothes, Jackson’s iPhone, prescription bottles that were still filled, hard drives, Jackson handwritten notes and resuscitator tube.
TMZ revealed that the man, identified as Jeffre Philip, was living in Jackson’s Carolwood house when he died and used that opportunity to exploit the grieving family.
Philip, who was once engaged to La Toya Jackson, has attempted selling some of the stolen items. The accusations filed against Philip came the day before the 13th anniversary of Jackson’s death, which was on Saturday, June 25.
The singer died on June 25, 2009.
