August 12, (THEWILL) – The ancient town of Erinmo-Ijesha had a golden glow cast over it this past week when Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II, the Elerinmo of Erinmo Kingdom, celebrated his 10th coronation anniversary.
The week-long celebrations which began on August 5th was nothing short of a symphony of epoch-making events. Several projects in line with the new Erinmo Development Agenda were unveiled and launched which culminated into a grand finale and grand royal reception on Saturday, August 10th, 2024 in his domain in Osun State. Many sons and daughters of Erinmo-Ijesha honoured the king with their presence, while they lauded him for a decade of leadership, resilience and community spirit. Formerly a businessman and pioneer Director-General of the Ghana-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce, Oba Ajayi ascended the throne in July 2014, after being unanimously chosen by the Arowotawaya ruling dynasty of Erinmo-Ijesha, Osun State, and accepted by the kingmakers as their new monarch. He was crowned by former governor Rauf Aregbesola. An erudite scholar with a vast array of awards and some Honorary PhD degrees, Oba Ajayi is a widely respected economic strategist.
