Dr Zainab Bashiru, the Executive Director of the Memorial Hospitals Group, gave the insights on Monday, at a three-day event organised by Africa Travel Market ‘Akwaaba in Lagos, Nigeria. Bashiru thereafter, noted the partnership aimed to relieve patients seeking affordable medical attention in Turkey and other European countries.
Bashiru said, “We offer healthcare to support those in need of our services at discounted rates.”
According to her, The Hospitals Group showcased its unique healthcare offerings at the 2024 Africa Travel Market Akwaaba, throughout the event promoted its brands and acquired deals with stakeholders in Nigeria, a key player in the tourism industry.
She expressed excitement for the opportunity to network with Nigerians, Ghanaians and other countries, thereby noting the company offers free consultations and second medical opinions for orthopaedics, spin, and paediatrics surgery concerns.
With the Abuja office, the MHG is planning to have a facility in Nigeria, adding the company to source their medical professionals from Turkey and Europe, with over 70% of their doctors being professors and 15% as associate professors.
MHG is also a platinum member, offering better outcomes in IVF and bone marrow transplants compared to the US. They have agreements with the US government to provide treatment to their citizens.
However, the company is proud to be chosen by thousands of patients from over 90 countries each year. Most of their staff and interpreters are native speakers who strive to do their best in order to make the patient experience as smooth as possible.
