Mazraoui Completes Free Transfer To Bayern In Four-Year Contract

May 24, (THEWILL) – Bayern Munich has finalised the free transfer of Ajax and Morocco right-back Noussair Mazraoui, signing him on a four-year contract that runs until June 30, 2026.

The 24-year-old, who will now join his new colleagues for pre-season training in July, said: “I had a good feeling right from the first talks with FC Bayern and I’m happy to be moving to one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

“FC Bayern have just become German champions for the 10th time in a row and will also be among the contenders to win the Champions League again next year. I chose this club because I can win the biggest titles here.”

Mazraoui, a product of the Ajax youth system, made his senior debut in the 2017/2018 season and has since been a fixture on the right side of defence. He has appeared in 135 competitive games for the Netherlands’ most successful club, scoring 10 goals and assisting nine times, while winning domestic doubles in 2018/2019 and 2020/2021.

Bayern club President was excited about the move, saying: “Noussair Mazraoui is the next building block to further strengthen our team in a targeted manner. We’ve set ourselves big goals again for the new season and players like Noussair Mazraoui expand our options. We’re really looking forward to attacking with him again in the Champions League and we want to celebrate many successes with him in the years to come.”
