February 07, (THEWILL) – Manchester United are reportedly planning to sell some of its current players after the season to raise funds for new marquee talents.
The Old Trafford side is believed to be targeting a number of players costing over £100 million, including Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen; Tottenham forward, Harry Kane; and West Ham midfielder, Declan Rice. United have identified Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, and Alex Telles as players they would like to sell to partially finance the purchase of their new target.
Victor Osimhen, with 16 goals in 17 league appearances this season, has been one of the standout players for Napoli, which sits at the top of the Serie A table. United are reportedly willing to pay £107m (€120m) for the Nigerian striker and expects competition from Chelsea.
The Red Devils had a £100m bid for Declan Rice turned down by West Ham before the season, but they could try to sign him again at the end of the campaign for £120m plus add-ons.
Apart from Osimhen and Rice, the Old Trafford side is also interested in signing Harry Kane and Benfica striker, Goncalo Ramos, as well as Ajax midfielder, Mohammed Kudus. It highlights United’s ambition to strengthen the team and challenge for major trophies in the coming seasons.
