April 22, (THEWILL)- Paris Saint-Germain took a significant step towards clinching the Ligue 1 title as they cruised past Olympique Lyonnais 4-1 at the Parc des Princes. With star striker, Kylian Mbappe, rested, Luis Enrique’s men produced a scintillating first-half performance to effectively kill off the contest by the break.
The home side raced into a two-goal lead inside six minutes through an own goal from Nemanja Matic and close-range finish by Lucas Beraldo, both assisted by the impressive Bradley Barcola. This victory marked Mbappe’s first non-appearance in over two months amid ongoing speculation over his future, as PSG continue their pursuit of an unprecedented quadruple.
