Liverpool Keep EPL Title Charge Alive With Fulham Win

April 21, (THEWILL)- Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool got their English Premier League title challenge back on track with a 3-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday. After a disappointing week, the pressure was on the Reds to deliver a response in West London.
The visitors made a bright start and took the lead through a sublime Trent Alexander-Arnold free-kick on 32 minutes. However, Timothy Castagne’s strike on the stroke of half-time drew Fulham level. Liverpool regained control after the break as Ryan Gravenberch and Diogo Jota netted to make it 3-1.
Despite the best efforts of Marco Silva’s charges, Liverpool held firm to claim three crucial points. The result sees them draw level on points with League leaders Arsenal ahead of their Merseyside derby against Everton in midweek.
For Fulham, it was a disappointing afternoon as their hopes another victory, after their impressive 2-0 defeat of West Ham, did not materialise. However, with Premier League survival already secured, Silva’s side can reflect on a job well done this season.
As the title race intensifies, Liverpool have fired a warning to Arsenal and Manchester City with this impressive victory in the capital.
