September 24, (THEWILL) – The Benue State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disclosed plans to flag off its campaign on Wednesday, ahead of the forthcoming local government elections in the state scheduled for October 5, 2024.

Towards this end, the State APC Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr. Benjamin Omale, has invited all stakeholders, support groups and associations, candidates and teeming supporters of the party in Benue State to a campaign rally at the J.S Tarka Stadium, Gboko.

A statement signed by the State Organising Secretary, APC Caretaker Committee, Benue State, James Ornguga, said the event, which is to start by 12 o’clock in the afternoon, will be followed by the presentation of flags to all validly nominated candidates.

“All the 23 local governments of the state shall proceed to launch their local government campaigns between Thursday, September 26 and Saturday, September 28, 2024, in their various local governments,” it said.

According to the statement, between Monday, September 30 and Wednesday, October 2, 2024, there will be massive ward-by-ward campaigns across the 276 council wards of the state with a grand finale of all campaign activities on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at IBB Square, Makurdi.

It directed all candidates to mobilise their supporters to all the scheduled events to achieve the maximum set target.
