October 11, (THEWILL) – Bayer Leverkusen’s Victor Boniface has been recognised as one of the top 20 footballers in the world right now by leading football website 90min.
The Nigerian striker has made a sensational start to life in Germany, netting seven goals and two assists in seven Bundesliga appearances under new manager Xabi Alonso. He sits at number 12 on the list, above exceptional names like Arsenal’s Declan Rice, Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane and Tottenham Hotspur’s target man Heung-Min Son.
The list is topped by Real Madrid youthful sensation and England midfielder, Jude Bellingham. Despite being only 20 years old, Bellingham has emerged as Los Blancos’ standout performer this season with 10 goals in 10 games. He has been so exceptional that he is being compared to Cristiano Ronaldo.
