Leicester Climb Up EPL Table After 2-0 Victory Over Leeds

October 21, (THEWILL) – On Thursday night, at the King Power Stadium, Leicester extended their turnaround and put Leeds in even more difficulty with a 2-0 victory.

Robin Koch scored an own goal when he attempted to intercept a goal-bound ball and he put it past Illan Meslier in goal. Harvey Barnes then put the game away with a beautiful finish after excellent buildup work from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Jamie Vardy.

Although Leeds applied more pressure in the second half and despite a long-range effort from Luis Sinisterra that thundered back off the bar, there was no way to get back into the game for them, as Jesse Marsch’s team suffered their fourth loss in five games.

Even though Leeds United still sit ahead of their opponents from Thursday night, their dismal recent performance is cause for concern, especially for their coaching crew and the fans.

Having finally left the bottom of the table, Leicester will be hoping to continue the progressive climb when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday while Leeds will take on Fulham.
