June 11, (THEWILL)- Some lecturers and their families have been abducted by gunmen, who attacked the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, in Kaduna State,
Confirming the report, an official of the Kaduna Sate Vigilance Service (name witheld), said some students of the institution were also injured.
The official, who did not give details, said the incident occurred on Thursday night between 10.30pm and 11pm.
Contacted on the development, Public Relations Officer of the institution, Malam Abdullahi Shehu, confirmed the incident; adding that management was trying to ascertain the exact number of people affected.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP. Mohammed Jalige, who also confirmed the incident, said he was still awaiting details on the matter.
He promised to get in touch with newsmen as soon as such details were available.
