Lautaro Martinez Double Leads Inter To 2-1 Win Against Cremonese

January 28, (THEWILL) – Inter Milan came back from a goal down to beat Cremonese 2-1 in a Lombardy Derby at the Giovanni Zini Stadium on Saturday.

The match saw Lautaro Martinez score twice to help his side get back on track in Serie A. Even though the game started brightly for Inter, they were caught off guard by an incredible opener from David Okereke, in the 11th minute.

However, Martinez levelled the score just 10 minutes later with a sharp finish after a parry from Cremonese keeper, Marco Carnesecchi.

The second half saw both teams create chances, but it was Martinez, who sealed the win for Inter in the 65th minute, drilling the ball into the net from inside the area. The victory takes Inter to 40 points, temporarily moving them into second place, behind Napoli, who have a 10-point lead. Cremonese remains winless and at the bottom of the league table.

Inter will now focus on their upcoming Coppa Italia match against Atalanta, while Cremonese will play Roma in the cup and Lecce in the league.
