September 29, (THEWILL) – Atalanta drew 1-1 with Bologna in Serie A on Saturday, extending Bologna’s winless home streak to six matches. Bologna played with 10 men for much of the second half after Jhon Lucumi was sent off.
Bologna took the lead in the 46th minute when Santiago Castro scored with a curling shot from the edge of the box. The hosts’ advantage was short-lived, as Lucumi received a red card for bringing down Charles De Ketelaere soon after.
Atalanta dominated possession and created several chances, with Raoul Bellanova hitting the crossbar. The visitors’ persistence paid off in the 90th minute when Lazar Samardzic equalised with a powerful strike from outside the box.
The result leaves Bologna without a home win in Serie A since April 2024. Atalanta, meanwhile, avoided a fourth league defeat in six matches this season, bouncing back from their midweek loss to Como.
Both teams will look to improve their form in upcoming fixtures. Bologna aim to end their home winless run, while Atalanta seek to climb the Serie A table after a mixed start to the 2024/2025 campaign.
