June 22, (THEWILL) – Mother of late rapper, Oladapo Olaonipekun, aka Dagrin, has cried out for financial assistance from Nigerians.
The aged woman revealed that she is living in a pitiable condition.
Dagrin died on April 22, 2010, after he had a ghastly car accident.
He rammed his newly acquired Nissan Maxima into a stationary truck at night, in front of the Alakara Police Station in Mushin, Lagos, on April 14.
He was taken to two hospitals for treatment, but died after eight days in a coma, following the car crash.
In a video which surfaced online, the late rapper’s mother revealed she used to be a food seller.
She sells food by the roadside, but because of her age, it became very stressful for her and she had to quit the trade.
She lamented about being poor and said her family needs suitable accommodation.
The elderly woman begged Nigerians to raise between N3 to N5 million so that she can start another business.
She also explained that she cannot go and beg music act, Olamide, for money because she sees him as a son and it feels wrong.
“Please I am poor and I want Nigerians to come and help me, I used to sell food by the roadside, but the stress is too much and I am getting really old.
“I need accommodation, please Nigerians I need like N3 million to N5 million, I can’t go and beg Olamide for money because it is somehow as he is not older than me, I see him like a son,” she said.
