October 23, (THEWILL) – Nancy Chidera, the lady who accused Nollywood actress, of unleashing thugs on her daughter’s teacher for alleged bullying, has apologised over her claim.
THEWILL recalls that on Friday, Mercy had gone on social media to call out a teacher of Chrisland School, Victoria Garden City for allegedly bullying Purity, her 8-year-old daughter.
However, Chidera had immediately accused the actress of assaulting the teacher and bringing her thugs afterward to cause more harm.
In a follow-up live video, Mercy filmed the headteacher denying the accusations that she unleashed thugs on the staff.
In a now-viral video, the lady stated that her initial post was due to her misinformation. She also disclosed that she had no first-hand details of what transpired.
“The events of the past few hours have been very traumatizing for me and I just came on here to apologise to Mercy Johnson Okojie. I was misinformed and I didn’t have first-hand information about everything,” she said.
“I believe what I saw over what may have transpired before I got there. So, I based my judgment on that. I’m very sorry for whatever issues I may have caused her family and whatever trauma I may have caused them at the end of today, I really hope she finds it in her heart to forgive me.”
The lady also alleged that she had been getting death threats since she made the post and pleaded with fans of the movie star to forgive her.
“I’ve been receiving several death threats in the past hours and it’s disturbing to me, so I came here to apologise to everyone,” she added.
“I have great love for Mercy and I will never wish her or her children bad. Next time, I would be more informed before making comments.”
