October 03, (THEWILL) – National Leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has urged Nigerians to get set and join the struggle to bring change in the country.

“The people of Kano State; the people of Northern Nigeria and indeed, all Nigerians, should partake in the efforts to bring the desired change as the nation is facing a myriad of challenges currently”, Kwankwaso said.

Such challenges, the NNPP presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections said, include insecurity, inflation, hunger, poverty, starvation and discontentment in the country.

He made the wake-up call on Thursday, at his Miller Road residence, Kano, while receiving thousands of supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Dala, Gwale and Kiru Local Government Areas, who defected to the NNPP.

“Nigerians and Northerners in particular have suffered enough and no amount of pressure, fear and deceit will prevent them from changing the situation.

“Regardless of their belief that they would use Security and INEC in the forthcoming elections, Nigerians are fed up with them and will surely fight to change the narrative.

“When the wind of change blows you will see those who think they have Security and INEC running helter-skelter and Nigerians will make the right choice of those who will address their unfortunate situation.

“I am glad that you have now realised the imperatives of leaving your former party, having experienced the prevailing unfortunate happenings in the country such as insecurity, poverty, hunger and starvation.

“I am also happy that you have realised that the NNPP is the only party that can rescue the country from the aforementioned challenges”, Kwankwaso said.

Several of the decampees, who spoke on occasion said they joined the NNPP because of the people-oriented programmes of the NNPP-controlled government in the state which is positively impacting the lives of the people.
