Kudus Brace Helps West Ham To 3-0 Win Over Wolves

December 17, (THEWILL) – West Ham United continued their recent good form with a comfortable 3-0 victory at home, over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. A brace from summer signing Mohammed Kudus and a late strike from Jarrod Bowen secured an important three points for David Moyes’ Hammers.

Kudus opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a long-range left-footed strike from 25 yards out. He doubled West Ham’s advantage just 10 minutes later, slotting home after being played through by Lucas Paqueta. Kudus now has four goals in his last five matches as he continues to impress.

Wolves thought they had a goal back midway through the second half when Pablo Sarabia tapped in from close range. However, a three-minute VAR review deemed him to be marginally offside, denying the visitors what would have been a fine team goal.

Bowen sealed the result in the 74th minute with a composed finish to cap off an incisive passing move also involving Paqueta. The goal was Bowen’s 10th of the campaign as he continues his hot goalscoring streak.

The win makes it seven victories from West Ham’s last nine matches across all competitions. It comes after their shock loss away to Fulham two weeks ago which now looks to be an anomaly in their otherwise excellent recent form under Moyes this season.
