October 16, (THEWILL) – Legendary music icon, Alhaji Kolawole Ayinla, aka Kollington Ayinla, has been named Music Ambassador of Ogun State.
The title was given to him by the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, when he paid a courtesy visit to the governor.
Kollington Ayinla was honoured with the title for his contribution in his genre of music which promoted the rich culture of Yoruba and Africans as a whole.
Governor Abiodun urged youths to be patient and gradually develop themselves to stardom and commended the musician for his consistency for over 50 years.
Kollington Ayinla also commended the governor for his efforts at transforming the fortune of the state through the even distribution of projects.
