Klopp Insists Liverpool’s Rebuild Won’t Happen Overnight, Points At Chelsea Situation

January 25, (THEWILL) – Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp, has acknowledged that the club’s rebuilding process will not happen overnight, as they are unable to spend as freely on players as Chelsea currently are.

Despite signing a new contract with the Reds that runs until 2026, Klopp has acknowledged that the task ahead of him is challenging, especially in comparison to Chelsea’s recent spending.

Explaining his position, the 55-year-old said: “It will not go overnight, and imagine the situation now with another coach in the chair. I would be somewhere on holiday and everybody would shout my name ‘with him it would not have happened!’ I’m obviously not a miracle worker.”

Klopp went on to explain that the club’s rebuilding process is made more difficult by their lack of financial resources compared to other teams, such as Chelsea.

He said, “Other teams, nobody likes me talking about that…but transition needs time if you don’t have endless money, otherwise you can change overnight pretty much, bringing in 10 players.”

The German manager emphasised that while the process will take time, he is committed to rebuilding the club and creating a long-term vision for success.
