Kidnapped Ondo Chief Imam Regains Freedom

June 19, (THEWILL) – The kidnapped Chief Imam of Uso Community in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Alhaji Ibrahim Oyinlade, has regained freedom from his abductors.

Oyinlade, 67, was kidnapped along the Owo-Akure Expressway on Saturday while working on his farm at Asolo Camp.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who confirmed the incident, said Oyinlade was released late Sunday evening.

While his abductors had demanded N10m ransom for his release, THEWILL could not immediately confirm if any ransom was paid before the cleric was released.
