On Tuesday, fans and reporters had been allowed into the arena for the team’s training at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos and it was celebratory.
However, public viewing has been stopped going forward and the boys will henceforth train in camera.
And earlier in the day on Wednesday, in-form Leicester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho joined the Super Eagles’ camp as the last player after overcoming a travel hitch that delayed his trip and made him miss the first training session of the team.
On Friday morning, the squad will depart Lagos for Cotonou ahead of Saturday’s match at the Charles de Gaulle Stadium in Porto-Novo, which is billed to kick off by 5PM local time.
The Super Eagles lead their qualifying series of Group L with eight points, while Benin are a point behind and Sierra Leone and Lesotho make up the rest of the group.
Earlier on the same day at 2PM, Lesotho will host Sierra Leone in the other group fixture.
