September 13, (THEWILL) – There were many positive signs in Real Madrid’s matchday four fixture on Sunday to make manager Carlos Ancelotti pleased with this team beyond the 5-2 comeback against Celta Vigo. after Eduardo Camavinga scored six minutes into his debut and Karim Benzema netted a hat trick to take them back to the top of the League.

Real welcomed no fewer than 25,000 supporters back to the iconic grounds of the Santiago Bernabeu after exactly 560 days playing their home matches at the Alfredo Stefano Stadium of their Real Madrid Castilla team, while renovations went on at the Bernabeu.

Those fans were treated to a real spectacle as goals from Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Camavinga laid waste to two early leads by the visitors before the interval, which were both against the run of play.

The returnee manager handed starts to Eden Hazard and Miguel Gutierrez. Vinicius earned a start on the left wing to flank Benzema after the good vein of form he has seen so far. Lucas Modric and Casemiro kept things ticking in the midfield while Daniel Carvajal dropped to the slot vacated by Raphael Varane.

As strong a selection as Ancelotti fielded, it was not long before Celta Vigo opened the scoring through a defensive lapse on Real’s part. Celta’s Iago Aspas profited from the failure of Eder Militao to clear the ball inside the opposition penalty area and fed teammate Santi Mina to beat Thibaut Courtois, in goal for Real.

Celta’s fourth-minute lead lasted for 20 minutes before Benzema equalised. The goal owed much to the hard work Fede Valverde put in the build-up. Valverde could have had a crack at goal himself and possibly lost the chance, but he had the presence of mind to pick out the pass to Benzema for the goal.

However, the visitors restored their lead soon after. Aspas helped to start off a fast-paced counterattack and team captain Hugo Mallo pushed into the box before squaring to Franco Cervi, whose first shot came off the upright, allowing him to score with his second try.

Real started the second half on the front foot and were immediately rewarded. Less than 30 seconds in, Benzema guided a header into the net off a beautiful cross from Miguel Gutierrez.

Vinicius, who has found a new lease of life under Ancelotti, gave the hosts the lead for the first time in the game. Benzema was there again to provide the through ball that put Vinicius in on goal. The Brazilian displayed an improved sense of composure to make it 3-2.

Real introduced Camavinga for his debut and the teenager marked the occasion by finding the back of the net on the rebound from a Luka Modric shot in the 72nd minute. There was still enough time for a fifth as a penalty awarded to the hosts allowed Benzema complete his hattrick.
