October 1, (THEWILL) – Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has urged the newly-elected Executives of the state chaper of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations(NIPR) to focus on promoting professionalism and excellence in public relations practice in the state.
The call is contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano on Sunday by the Deputy Governor’s Press Secretary, Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu.
Gwarzo also called on them to work with the government and other stakeholders to promote the development of the state.
He congratulated the new NIPR leadership, describing their election as “a testament to the commitment of the institute to promoting professionalism and excellence in public relations practice.”
The Deputy Governor noted that the new leadership is made up of experienced and qualified professionals whom are capable of leading the institute to greater heights.
“I am confident that they will lead the institute to greater heights and promote professionalism and excellence in public relations practice in the state.
“I also urge all members of the institute to give their full support to the new leadership to enable them to achieve their goals,” he said.
The election which took place in Kano on Friday, returned Aliyu Yusuf as Chairman of the institute, while Isma’ila Ammai Maizare was elected as Vice Chairman, and Abdullahi D. Abdullahi emerged Treasurer and Usman Gwadabe was elected as Secretary.
Others are:Muhammad Dahiru Idris elected as Assistant Secretary, Samira Sulaiman as PR Executive,Abdullahi Abba Hassan as Financial Secretary and Ado Sa’idu Warawa as Auditor of the Institute.
