BEVERLY HILLS, October 05, (THEWILL) – Juventus has added to their squad strength with the signing of Italian international Federico Chiesa from Serie A rivals Fiorentina. This comes on the heels of the departure of the 30-year-old Brazilian Douglas Costa who returns to Bayern in the Bundesliga on loan.

After completing his medical on Monday, Chiesa completed an initial two-year loan deal at a total cost of €10 million. Juventus will then have a purchase option which will be an initial €40 million but could rise to €50 million.

Juventus has already added the midfield duo of Arthur and Weston Mckennie and the forward Alvaro Morata to bolster their squad. Chiesa’s inclusion will add some breadth to the team.

The 22-year-old Italian scored 10 goals in 34 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina last season and already has a goal to his name in three outings this season.
