August 19, (THEWILL) – Joycelyn Savage, the alleged fiance and baby mama of imprisoned singer, R. Kelly, is insisting on her claims that she and the 55-year-old singer are expecting their first child, despite his lawyer’s claim.
Savage recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight, where she opened up about her pregnancy.
The 26-year-old said she shared a sonogram with the outlet and explained that she is five months pregnant.
Savage told ET, “R. Kelly’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, didn’t know that prior to him going to jail, Robert and I were doing IVF because at the time I was told couldn’t have a baby”, she explained.
Explaining further, she said, “when he got sent to prison, we paused on it and I had them freeze my eggs until I was ready. Once his lawyer found out, she wanted me to have an abortion because she didn’t feel that now was the time for me to have a child, following the 30-year sentence.
“Me and Robert wanted to have a child for a long time. He is very happy about it, but his lawyer isn’t. Once she knew I was keeping my baby, she didn’t want me to announce it.
“But I wanted to share the news. I’ve always been there for him, even before his new lawyer came into the picture”, she revealed.
Although, R. Kelly’s lawyer, Bonjean, on August 12, denied the claims that Savage was pregnant
