BEVERLY HILLS, April 08, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Jonathan Wednesday paid a visit to retired General Theophilus Danjuma, a former Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Victims Support Fund, at his Abuja residence.

The President, who suffered an embarrassing defeat in the Presidential election conducted on March 28, 2015, was accompanied by aides to Danjuma’s, where both men met privately.

During a brief chat with journalists after the meeting, the host hailed Jonathan for accepting the outcome of the election and conceding defeat to the opposition candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, saying the President made history.

Danjuma said: “The outcome of the election and the manner in which President Jonathan conceded victory to Buhari, is un-African, it is very important in the history of Africa.

“President Jonathan has set a history, a record that should be emulated by the rest of Africa and indeed the whole world…”
