December 22, (THEWILL) – American actor, Jonathan Michael Majors, has been found guilty of two of the four counts brought against him.

A nine-person jury delivered a verdict, declaring the actor guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment. The charges stemmed from a March 25 incident involving Majors and his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.

The night before, the Creed III star and his girlfriend at the time, Grace Jabbari, 30, an actor and dancer, got into an intense altercation while riding in an SUV on their way to Majors’ apartment in Chelsea.

Jabbari testified in court that things turned physical after she noticed romantic texts on Majors’s phone. When Jabbari grabbed the device from his hands, Majors twisted her arm in a position that caused her excruciating pain and struck her in the head, Jabbari told jurors. Jabbari also accused Majors of squeezing her middle finger until it fractured.

Majors then took the phone back, got out of the vehicle and took off running through the streets of lower Manhattan as Jabbari chased behind him, street surveillance footage presented during the trial showed.

He faced four misdemeanor charges for misdemeanor assault, aggravated assault and harassment and faced up to a year in prison if convicted on all counts.

Following the verdict, the judge issued a fresh order of protection and scheduled the sentencing for February 6th, 2024.

Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry said: “It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that. We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him.”

“Mr Majors is grateful to God, his family, his friends, and his fans for their love and support during these harrowing eight months. Mr Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name,” Chaudhry added.

The verdict swiftly impacted Majors’ Hollywood career, particularly his acting roles in the Marvel superhero franchise and the Walt Disney corporation. Marvel Studios severed ties with him the same day and dropped him from any future projects.

He was to portray the villainous Kang the Conqueror, slated for 2026’s ‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.’

He has also been dropped by his managers at Entertainment 360.
