According to Mr. Labaran Maku, Nigeria’s Information Minister, the Minister of State for Trade and Investments, Mr. Samuel Ortom, will take charge of the Ministry of Aviation, Mr. Darius Isiaku will oversee affairs at the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, while FCT Minister Olajumoke Akinjide will run the Ministry of Police Affairs.
The Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is expected to take full charge of the Ministry of Finance following the sack of Yerima.
Substantive Ministers are expected to be appointment to replace the deposed Ministers.
Maku said the President fired the Ministers because they had indicated that they wanted to pursue other opportunities.

SAN FRANCISCO, February 12, (THEWILL) – President Goodluck Jonathan has fired the controversial Minister of Aviation, Princess Stella Oduah and three other Ministers.
The others are the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, Minister of Police Affairs, Mr. Caleb Olubolade and the Minister of State for Finance, Yerima Ngama.
