March 09, (THEWILL) – President Bola Tinubu’s daughter, Dr. Mujidat Folashade Tinubu-Ojo, says she is optimistic things are getting better for Nigerian women.

Dr. Tinubu-Ojo disclosed this on Friday, in Calabar, Cross River State capital, while speaking on the 2024 International Women’s Day with the theme: “Invest In Women: Accelerate Progress”.

She canvassed for women’s inclusion in governance, saying it is important because women are better managers. She also urged women to keep fighting against inequality because they will definitely win.

The President’s daughter was in the state for her investiture as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Havila University in Ikom as well as the unveiling of an academic complex named after her in the institution.

“The message is just to say happy Mother’s Day to everyone out there, all the beautiful women, loving caring mothers, I celebrate you.

“We are getting there, at least it’s better and we are still hopeful that it will still get better. We will get there by His grace. We are fighting for it and will definitely win.

“It’s important to have women inclusion and women at the management level because women are better managers. We will continue pushing because even in business, if you don’t push nothing happens. But we will keep fighting and at the end of the day, victory will be ours,” she said.

On her upcoming investiture as the Chairman of the Governing Council of Havila University, she said she appreciates the council for the recognition.

She promised that with God’s help, she would discharge her duties dutifully and according to expectation.
