August 04, (THEWILL) – Bll Gates and Melinda French Gates, co-founders of one of the world’s largest private charitable foundations, have officially ended their marriage after a Judge approved their split.
The duo had filed for divorce on May 3 —after 27 years of marriage.
However a filing with the King County Superior Court in Washington confirmed the split on Monday.
Bill and Melinda had, while speaking about their divorce, reached an agreement on how to divide their marital assets.
According to Reuters, there were no details of that agreement in the final divorce order filed before the court and the court did not issue money, property, or spousal support judgements in the divorce.
Also, court records disclosed that neither party will change their name or receive “spousal support.”
