September 05, (THEWILL) – Inter Milan manager, Simone Inzaghi, has put pen to paper on a new contract that will see him remain at the Serie A club until 2025, it was confirmed on Tuesday.
The 47-year-old Italian started his coaching career at Serie A side, Lazio, before taking over at Inter in 2021. His previous contract with the Nerazzurri was due to expire at the conclusion of the current campaign.
Under Inzaghi’s stewardship, Inter have lifted the Coppa Italia in 2021/2022 and 2022/2023, the Supercoppa Italiana in 2021 and 2022, and reached this year’s Champions League final, where they were defeated by Manchester City.
“Inter Milan is happy to announce the contract renewal of coach Simone Inzaghi. Thanks to the new agreement, the coach will be at the helm of the Nerazzurri until 2025,” read a statement from the club.
Inzaghi has firmly established himself as one of Serie A’s top managers since making the move to Inter, delivering silverware and guiding the club to the final of Europe’s premier cup competition. His commitment to the project will come as welcome news to Inter supporters.
