Inter Miami Hopeful To Sign Messi With PSG Set For Fresh Contract Talks

October 31, (THEWILL) – Lionel Messi may have reiterated he wants to concentrate on the 2022 FIFA World Cup and on playing for Argentina, yet, it is clear that his future will be decided next year.

Rumours about where the 35-year-old will play next season have continued to make the news with Paris Saint-Germain invested in signing the seasoned forward to a fresh two-year contract, while Barcelona consider the prospect of bringing their iconic star back to Camp.

More recent reports, monitored by THEWILL, have claimed that Messi might be moving to the United States after PSG. Inter Miami is thought to be the brightest prospect with the Major League Soccer side hoping Messi will sign to become a member of their team in the coming months.

Their confidence is hinged on the fact that there have been discussions between representatives of the two parties, including Messi’s father, Jorge and brothers, Jorge and Jose Mas, who control Inter Miami with David Beckham, for a few years, and there is a growing optimism that the proposed transfer is imminent.

However, they will have to contend with the advantage that PSG has in keeping the Argentine. Messi, who is seeing a spell of revival this season in Ligue 1 and in Europe for Les Parisiens, is not a player Christophe Galtier’s side wants to lose and they are actively pursuing an extension to keep him in Paris for much longer.
