I’ll Shift Cycle Of Inequity, Injustice In Cross River Governance – Imah Nsa-Adegoke

April 20, (THEWILL) – A governorship hopeful in Cross River State, Imah Nsa Adegoke, has promised to shift the cycle of injustice and inequity in the governance of the State.

Imah Nsa disclosed this at the People’s Democratic Party State Secretariat in Calabar, while paying a consultative visit to leaders of the party.

She said this will be achieved through a paradigm shift, which will be pursued through five key programmes and defined agenda with the acronym SHIFT.

In her words, “My vision is to shift this cycle of injustice and inequity in the governance of Cross River State using it as an example of what Nigeria can again become if the proper parameters of justice, equity and rightness are once more enshrined as the fulcrum of social engineering.

“To achieve this, there has to be a paradigm shift which will be pursued through five key programmes and a defined agenda with the acronym SHIFT, which stands for Schools, Hospitals Infrastructure, Farms and Technology”, she said.

Giving an insight into some of programmes, she said rural primary education will be the focus of her administration so as to give a fighting chance to the next generation of the people.

On health, she said her administration will employ telemedicine to dispense effective diagnostic healthcare.

On infrastructure, she disclosed that her policy will address tangible and intangible aspects of infrastructure besides establishing a functional laboratory for solving crimes and revamp our judicial systems to enhance transparency and justice.

On farms, Imah Nsa promised to introduce a Backward Integrated Industrialisation for agriculture and our mineral resources will be the focus of our restoring the wealth of the people.

She said our industries will not be media ones, but factual and verifiable outfits that prosper the state.

She added that technology is the way to go and parts of TINAPA will be transformed to a technology park, while the essence of tourism will be reborn in a style more lucrative to the present trends.

The governorship hopeful, who is also the President of The Imah Nsa-Adegoke Foundation, said she will restore the fortunes of the state and also fight for the people of Cross River State.

She said she is the choice and not an option and sought the support of the leaders and delegates of the PDP.

In his remarks, the state party chairman, Venatius Ikem said the PDP does not lack capacity at all with the quality of it’s aspirants particularly in Imah Nsa-Adegoke.

He promised that the party is a democratic party and will create a level playing field for all aspirants.
