April 04, (THEWILL) – The Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) has released a list of areas within its coverage that are affected by the new tariff hike.
THEWILL had reported on Wednesday, that the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) announced a tariff hike for electricity consumers under the Band A classification.
According to the Commission, the affected consumers will now pay N225 for a kilowatt per hour (KW/h) instead of the usual N66.
Band A customers are those who enjoy between 20 and 24 hours of electricity power supply daily. Those in Band B have a power supply between 16 and 20 hours, while the Band C customers are those who enjoy it between 12 and 16 hours.
